The Red Cross Assembly Hondarribia is formed at present by 25 voluntary divers, professional as well as with sports title. We devote ourselves mainly to sea rescues on the coast as well as in ships.

We are coordinated with the emergencies activation center of the Basque Country called "Sos Deiak", Sea Rescue, the Central of Red Cross Gipuzkoa and other official organizations, who call us to activate emergencies in rivers as well as in the Sea,we also rely on the service of the Marques de Valdecilla Hospital.

The search methods that we use, are defined by the orography of the place, visibility, and if it is by Sea by the swell, lowtide, etc. The principal search methods are;

It's convinent to indicate that we have the problem of professional diver is qualification, since in Gipuzkoa there are no courses to obtain this type of qualifications. Though we have experienced people who ofoers to help without expecting anything in return, we have the problem of the fact that they have sports FEDAS 2* and 3*qualifications, including doctors. We expect to solve this problem as soon as posible
